Payne Security Scores for Wigan Athletic

For the second year running, Premier League football club Wigan Athletic is using a tailored personal ID system from specialist Payne Security for the effective accreditation of visitors.

The IDPro system was installed in July 2005 upon the club’s promotion to the Premier League, in order to monitor and accredit their stewards and all members of the press.

Given the high turnover of these sectors, it is often necessary to produce cards at short notice.  Wigan Athletic therefore order pre-printed card stock featuring the club crest, on to which individual information can be added at the stadium using Magicard Rio2e printers.

For the 2006-07 season, Payne Security has helped the club to introduce a system of colour coding to make cards more visibly secure.
